BACKGROUND
North Carolina Gen. Stat. § 115C-518 affords boards of county commissioners the first opportunity to obtain property owned by a local school board which is no longer suitable for school purposes.
Gaston County Public Schools has determined that the property located at 425 South Ridge Street, Dallas, North Carolina 28034 is unsuitable for school purposes.
Gaston County tax records show that a sum of twenty-three thousand, twenty-eight dollars and eighty-four cents ($23,028.84) is owed to the County as back-taxes as of September 28, 2021. The County desires to recoup the back-taxes owed on said property without owning the parcel, and declines the right to purchase said property.
