BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division received State Grant funds from the NC Division of Public Health for Advancing Equity. The funding will address COVID-19 related health disparities and advance health equity by expanding local health department capacity and services to prevent and control COVID-19 infection or transmission among Historically Marginalized Populations, or other priority populations. The funds will be used for health equity staff training, community messaging and communications, vaccine and testing promotion, and staff support. These are Non-County funds.
