Increase State Grant revenue by $115,000 and appropriate $115,000 into the program project account.
BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division received additional State Grant funds from the NC Division of Public Health for School Health Liaisons. The funding will support health department staff positions that encourage continuity of existing COVID-related school health activities, coordination of COVID-19 screening, testing, and vaccine administration efforts, and other school health/public health services. The funds will be used for public health nurses to liaise with all school types within the jurisdiction of the local health department through salary support, staff development/training, and supplies. These are Non-County funds.
