BACKGROUND
Project DUO is considering an investment of $3,000,000 to construct an advanced manufacturing operation in Gaston County, including the installation of machinery and equipment and the establishment of a North American corporate office. It will be a joint venture of two companies coming together under one roof. The first company will retain nineteen (19) jobs with an average wage of $50,000, and create five (5) new jobs with an average wage of $60,000. The second company will retain two (2) employees with an average salary of $40,000, and create three (3) new jobs with an average wage of $75,000. The 2019 average annual wage in Gaston County is $39,852.
