BACKGROUND
In July, 2019, DHHS Social Services Division received notification of an approved grant through the US Department of Labor Division of Workforce Solutions in the amount of $75,000. These funds will be used to provide additional services to the citizens of Gaston County for recruitment of jobs to those who are seeking employment. These funds require appropriation to the FY2019-2020 Social Services Budget, so the funds can be used for the intended purpose. This is 100% Federal funds and will be carried forward until the expiration of the grant in 2021. No County match required.
