BACKGROUND
Black Pine Development will upfit a space at the Penegar Building for the operation of the Family Justice Center (no cost to county) and must have an executed lease agreement in order to begin renovations. The permanent space will not be ready for occupancy until July of 2020; however, Black Pine will provide a temporary space beginning 12/31/19-06/30/20. A $4,000 non-refundable security deposit is required at the commencement of the lease. No rent will be charged for January and February of 2020. Rent for the months of March-June will be $1,000 per month. In October of 2019, the FJC grant funds will be taken to the BOC for approval/appropriation and all costs for the lease will come from grant funds. The $8,000 will be transferred back to the shelter donations account. Approval of this action authorizes the County Manager to execute all necessary documents.
