The sponsorships will be used to supplement Senior Center Programming Funds included in the FY’18 Budget.
BACKGROUND
Gaston County Senior Games is a sanctioned program of the North Carolina Senior Games. Senior Games offers persons 50 years of age and older the opportunity to participate in team and individual sports on the local, state, and national level. Another component of Senior Games is Silver Arts. Silver Arts provides a stage for visual, heritage, literary, and performing arts. Gaston County has received $1,250 in sponsorship funds for Senior Games. We request these funds be accepted and appropriated to the proper budget account to offset Senior Games expenses.
