BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT

Additional County Funds from Reverted Fund Balance in the amount of $10,574.

BACKGROUND

Money received in donations earmarked by donor for the spay/neuter voucher program reverts back into fund balance at the end of the fiscal year if not spent. GCACE would like the donations (totaling $10,574) that was put into fund balance in the past year to be appropriated to the current fiscal year 17-18 into the Spay/Neuter Voucher account for use to provide funding to citizens that fall below 300% federal poverty level to assist in spay/neuter of their pets. This will help decrease the number of unwanted pets in Gaston County.
