BACKGROUND

On September 5, 2017 the City of Gastonia declared a 2007 Crown Victoria automobile, Unit 1205 (VIN #2FAFP71W17X139234) surplus property via Resolution No. 1820, and authorized the City Manager to transfer title of said vehicle to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Department for use in their law enforcement program. Moreover, the vehicle will be utilized in the expansion of the K-9 Unit.  The Sheriff requests that the County authorize the acceptance of the donated vehicle and transfer of vehicle title from the City of Gastonia to Gaston County for use by the Sheriff’s Department.
