BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT

BACKGROUND

Gaston County Local Government/Gaston County LEA 21^st CCLC will provide services to students attending two high-poverty, elementary schools-Lingerfeldt and Pleasant Ridge-and to the adult family members of these students. Services will be provided to a minimum of 150 students for 3.5 hours daily for five days each week for 32 weeks during the school year. Program participants will be 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders who are invited to participate based upon a risk assessment. The program will be implemented at the Pleasant Ridge site at no cost to students, and transportation will be provided.
