BACKGROUND

The Cathy Mabry Cloninger Center• A Domestic Violence Shelter has been awarded a one-year grant extension from the North Carolina Division for Women and Youth - Family Violence Prevention Services Act (FVPSA) Program in the amount of $93,101.97 to continue to fund the existing Public Outreach Specialist’s salary and benefits to increase public awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence, dating violence and family violence. A portion of the funding will also be used for low-cost, tangible outreach supplies used during community education and survivor engagement activities. These materials support trauma-informed outreach, reinforce safety messaging, and enhance survivor comfort and personal security during initial contact.

 

The period of performance is 10/01/25 - 09/30/26.

 

The required match will come from a portion of the Shelter Operations Supervisor's salary.
