BACKGROUND
At the April 16, 2026 Fire Commission Meeting a Certificate of Need (CON) was presented on behalf of East Gaston Fire Department for replacement tires on Tanker 30 in the amount of $9,000.00. East Gaston Fire Department is requesting this additional funding as the purchase would require the department to exceed their current vehicle maintenance line item budget. The Fire Commission approved the Certificate of Need (CON) for $9,000.00.
