BACKGROUND

NC Housing Finance Agency administers the Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Program, whose funds are intended to improve living conditions for low-income elderly and disabled individuals. Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Grants are made available through a competitive application process on a rotating three-year schedule. Gaston County's 2015 award was $170,000 and because Gaston County has completed repairs on 3 homes, NCHFA has reserved an additional $113,180 for repairs on two more homes.
