BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Division, received funding from Vaya Partners to support the Community Outreach Program within the Community Health Division. Funding will be used to support a temporary Mental Health Coordinator position to address increased community mental health needs, provide assistance to Bountiful Blessings for its food assistance and distribution program, and support the annual Community Health Summit hosted by Public Health each spring. These initiatives strengthen community partnerships, expand access to essential services, and promote improved health outcomes for Gaston County residents. These are non-County funds.
