BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT

Revenues from the Dog Days of Dallas Bike Ride will be used to offset expenses for the Gaston County Senior Center programs.

BACKGROUND

The Gaston Cyclists host the annual Dog Days of Dallas Bike Ride each year.  This year’s ride was held July 9 and the cyclists departed and returned to the Gaston County Senior Center.  Cyclists have the choice of various routes and mileage with the longest route being sixty-four miles.  The Gaston Cyclists designated the Gaston County Senior Center to be the recipient of all ride proceeds which totaled $1,951 this year.  These proceeds will be used to offset expenses for Gaston County Senior Center programs.
