BACKGROUND
In FY2026, funds were appropriated in the amount of $1,125,000 for the Dallas High Shoals / Old Willis Force Sewer Project. Recently, the Office of Capital Improvement (OCI) was informed of potential Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding. This funding is only available for locally funded work on the Dallas High Shoals Water projects and will be awarded to the Town of Dallas. For accounting purposes, this Board Action shifts the already approved sewer funding (P2605) to the water project account (P2607) so EPA funds can reimburse the County for local funds that were previously encumbered. No additional appropriations are necessary.
