BACKGROUND

The Board of Commissioners felt it was prudent and necessary to conduct a comprehensive review of the Board’s Procedures for consistency with current laws, County ordinances and policies, best practices, and organizational philosophy.  The County Attorney and County Clerk were directed to conduct a review of the current procedures along with the School of Government’s Suggested Rules of Procedure for County Commissioners.  Each Commissioner was provided a copy of the subsequent revisions of the Procedures for initial comments and the final suggestions and revisions were submitted to the Board for review.
