BACKGROUND

Gaston County was founded by an act of the General Assembly on December 21, 1846. On December 21, 2021, Gaston County will celebrate its 175^th Anniversary, with an event at the Rotary Pavilion in Gastonia. In addition, events will be held by various County departments in the lead up to the December 21 event.
