BACKGROUND

 

Project Helms Deep is considering an investment that will result in net new taxable value at an existing manufacturing facility in Gaston County and intends to create 30 new jobs over five years. This will potentially increase property and sales tax revenue based upon Project Helms Deep choosing to expand its manufacturing operations in Gaston County. The Gaston County Board of Commissioners desires to support this manufacturing operation to induce the company to provide good job opportunities and capital investment which will enhance the County’s ability to attract additional business and industry.
