BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division received additional state grant funds from the Partnership for Children for Lincoln and Gaston Counties for the Public Health Community Health Education Smart Start Program in the amount of $10,432 and for the Triple P program in the amount of $1,004. These funds will be used for three Smart Start program managers’ salaries and fringes who will continue to work on behalf of young children in the Gaston County community by supporting children’s safety, health, and preparedness through the Smart Start and Triple P programs. Service period of award 7/1/2026 - 6/30/2027. These are non-County funds.
