BACKGROUND
Gaston County currently owns the Gaston County Administration Building (parcel ID# 105909) located at 128 West Main Avenue, Gastonia, NC. The properties located at 100 West Main Avenue, Suite 100, (PID 219964) and 110 West Main Avenue (PID 212033), directly adjacent to the Gaston County Administration Building, are available for purchase. Suite 100 at 100 West Main Avenue is 6,358 square feet of office, conference, collaborative meeting space, and office support space. All furniture currently located within Suite 100 is included with the purchase price. The property located at 110 West Main Avenue is 3,720 square feet of shell building space, which can be upfit into office, conference, and collaborative meeting space.
Miaco Properties, LLC has agreed to sell Parcel 219964 (Suite 100) and Parcel 212033 to Gaston County for a total purchase price of $835,000.00. Approval of this Board Action authorizes the County Attorney to draft the necessary documents for the property purchase and the County Manager, or her designee, to execute said documents on behalf of Gaston County. In addition to the purchase, approval of this Board Action authorizes the transfer of any necessary funds to cover property purchase, closing costs, and design/upfit costs.
