BACKGROUND
The North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission awarded the Sheriff’s Office $75,000 to support the Medication Assistance Treatment (MAT) Program in the Gaston County Jail. The grant requires a 25% match, totaling $25,000. The funding provides salary and benefits for one full-time detention officer to assist in moving participants to and from treatment within the jail.
This administrative correction updates the match salary accounts as approved in Resolution #2024-436. Specifically, $10,608 in match funding will be moved from 1000-SHF-000-00000-000000-000000-0000-02-510001- to 1000-SHF-210-00000-000000-0000000-0000-02-510001-, consolidating the funds under a single account. As a result, match account 1000-SHF-210-00000-000000-0000000-0000-02-510001- will have an updated total of $21,656.
