BACKGROUND
This request is to allocate $8,340 in funding from Kintegra to support Cooperative Extension's Highland Youth Garden and Entrepreneur Incubator program. The funds provide program supplies, food for the nutritional education components, and a stipend for youth who complete the entrepreneur tract of the program. No County funds are being used in this project. The Highland Youth Garden and Entrepreneur Incubator program gives youth hands-on gardening skills, teaches them skills in preparing and selecting healthy foods, and teaches them business management skills through the creation of value-added agriculture products.
