BACKGROUND

Gaston County has designated the equipment/furniture from the attached list to be in poor condition, uneconomical for continued use, and as having met the established surplus criteria. This Board Action authorizes the County Manager to enter into an agreement with a public auctioneer to conduct a public auction, with payment to the auctioneer coming from the sale proceeds. This Board Action also formally declares the equipment/furniture listed below as surplus and authorizes their sale at public auction.
