Put the Department of Emergency Medical Services (4370) budget into a Special Revenue Fund for FY 2017. Approve new fees for FY 2017 (which are part of a tabled fee schedule resolution) to begin on January 1, 2017.

BACKGROUND
At the May 10, 2016 Work Session, information was presented providing a potential plan of action to pursue an EMS Enterprise Fund by FY 2020 in incremental annual steps.
POLICY IMPACT
This action begins to move more of the cost of EMS services to users as opposed to taxpayers. It also provides an opportunity for consumers to take advantage of price protection based on an offered subscription plan.
