BACKGROUND

This Governor’s Crime Commission funded Sexual Assault Project is to provide comprehensive support services to survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking, with a focus on fostering healing and resilience in Gaston County. The program specifically targets survivors across all age groups, with a predominant focus on adults aged 25-59, who represent the majority of those served. Funding will provide medical equipment for forensic exams, equipment for a SA medical room at Highland Health Center, program supplies, purchase of an SUV for client transport, and software for case management and survivor communication.
