Matching Funds are included in the approved FY’19 Senior Center Budget.

BACKGROUND

The Gaston County Senior Center received a Health Promotion Disease Prevention Grant from Centralina Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging in the amount of $2,340.  The grant will be matched by $260 in County funds that are available in the FY’19 approved budget.  Grant funds will be used to support evidence based classes including A Matter of Balance, Living Healthy with Diabetes, and Chronic Disease Self-Management.  These classes will take place at the Gaston County Senior Center and other satellite locations.
