BACKGROUND
The initiation of a Countywide telematics program supports Gaston County’s goals for safety, accountability, fiscal responsibility, and service reliability. By transitioning from reactive fleet management to data-driven, proactive oversight, the County can better manage asset utilization, streamline maintenance, validate service needs, and support informed budgeting and replacement planning.
