Asset Forfeiture Fund: Decrease revenues (fund balance appropriated) and expenditures by $6,239.64

body

BACKGROUND

The Comprehensive Control Act of 1984 and the Anti-Drug Act of 1986 provide for distribution among participating law enforcement agencies of assets forfeited in connection with drug related arrest and the above laws prohibit the use of such funds to reduce local funds budgeted for law enforcement programs.

Asset Forfeitures Fund: In FY26 $22,362.88 was received for Justice, Police Department and appropriated by Board Action 2026-206.  Part of this revenue, $6,239.64, was recorded to the wrong account and does not belong to the Asset Forfeitures Fund.   This Board Action reduces that appropriation.
