BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division was awarded Federal Grant funds in the amount of $25,966 from the NC Department of Health and Human Services - Women, Infant, and Community Wellness Section/ Infant and Community Health Branch. These grant funds are used to support programs that help lower the infant mortality and low birthweight rates among minority populations. A portion of the funds will be used to support the Healthy Beginnings Program Manager position as well as operating expenses. These are non-county funds. Total Amount of Federally Obligated Funds: $25,966. Service period of award 6/1/2025-5/31/2026.
