BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Public Library has been awarded $291,926 by the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, of which $121,080 has previously been accepted and appropriated based on a preliminary letter (File #25-423). The remainder of the payout being $170,846. Awarded funds are to be used for library materials, salaries, equipment, and operating costs at library administration’s discretion.
