BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office was awarded OSBM Grant #20854 in February 2025. This award allocated $100,000 to purchase SaferWatch Panic Buttons, Receivers, and Software Program. It also approved the purchase of Premier Body Armor Vests, Uniform Hats, and a Digital Evidence Locker.
A budget transfer of $820.00 is requested to reallocate remaining funding after the purchase of the Digital Evidence Locker came in less than the original estimate.
It will move funding from the Furniture/Equipment > $5,000 account to the Furniture/Equipment < $5,000 account, where funds are currently needed.
