BACKGROUND

The Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement (GCACE) shelter is in need of ceiling and wall-mounted sound reduction panels for two lobby areas. Due to the current construction-concrete floors and walls with no existing sound barriers-the space experiences significant sound reverberation. Installing acoustic panels will greatly enhance the overall environment by reducing noise levels, thereby improving safety, communication, and the overall experience for both visitors and staff. This is essential in addressing ongoing challenges related to concentration, hearing strain, and acoustic comfort within the facility.
