BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT

Increase federal and state grant revenues up to $231,246 and appropriate into Elections account as reimbursements.

BACKGROUND

The Gaston County Board of Elections has received up to $231,246 in a reimbursement base grant from federal and state funds from the CARES Act (P.L. 116-136) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic during the 2020 federal election cycle.  The Board Action accepts and appropriates these funds.
