BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office was awarded OSBM Grant #20853 in April 2024. This award allocated $175,000 to purchase Premier Body Armor Carriers, Mollie Holders, a TruNarc Narcotics Analyzer, Zero Delta Patrol Rifles, and Radar Detectors.
A budget transfer of $928.64 is requested to reallocate earned interest from the Furniture/Equipment >$5,000 account to the Furniture/Equipment <$5,000 account, where funds are currently needed.
This grant earns interest monthly; the earnings are appropriated quarterly. Any interest earned must be used towards the purpose of the grant, which includes the items listed above.
