BACKGROUND
Gaston County Schools need operational funding in the amount of $10,000,000. Unforeseen circumstances led to the need for this one-time allocation.
Pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 115C-429(c), the Board of County Commissioners directs the Board of Education to provide the County Manager with full access to all Gaston County Schools financial records upon request. Additionally, any time audit reports or other financial information are provided to the Board of Education, copies must be concurrently sent to the Board of County Commissioners.
This one-time, supplemental appropriation may not be construed as a waiver of the County's rights under GS 115C-429(d).
