BACKGROUND

This initiative is the culmination of a five-year effort to research and plan the replacement of Gaston County’s badly outdated Public Safety Radio system.  It includes both the infrastructure development, radios and other equipment with an anticipated go-live date in the spring of 2010. Both the negotiated price for the system and financing terms are a good value for Gaston County.
