BACKGROUND
Gaston County’s Hope United Survivor Network has been awarded a three-year grant from the North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) for Gaston County Justice for DV Victims grant in the amount of $100,000 to support salary and partial benefits for the Court Programs Coordinator.
The Court Programs Coordinator will be collaborating with the Gaston County District Attorney's Office to provide court guidance, emotional support, safety planning, and resource referrals, empowering victims through the justice process.
The grant period is 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2028. Year one period of performance is 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2026.
The required 25% match will be covered by portions of the Assistant District Attorney’s salaries, who will be working alongside the Court Programs Coordinator.
