BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT
Health Department (Environmental Health), Animal Care & Enforcement, Landfill, Parks & Recreation, and Building Inspections has increased, decreased, or implemented new fees. All other fees have remained constant and/or decreased.
BACKGROUND
The County has a set fee structure in place for certain services that are rendered to the public. Most fee adjustments relate to these types of services as well as public record/information. State statues require that public records be available at the costs associated with their reproduction, not origination. Because of the state requirement, fees are reviewed annually to ensure that these services remain cost neutral. Attached for your review is a listing of current and proposed changes. Staff is recommending that the Board of Commissioners adopt the new fees and associated changes, being effective July 1, 2017. These changes to the fee schedule do not have a substantial impact on the County Budget.
The Board of Commissioners, at its 4/25/2017 Regular Meeting, approved the FY18 Fee Schedule with the following amendments:
Page 4 - Landfill - Uncovered/Unsecured Load Fee: Increase from $75 to $200 (per occurrence)
Page 8 - Parks & Recreation: Practice Fees: To Exclude Municipalities
