BACKGROUND
Gaston County Public Health has been awarded funding from AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina, Inc., (ACNC) for the expansion of the existing Nurse Family Partnership nursing services. These funds will be used to support patient care which includes hiring additional Nurse Home Visiting nurses, training and onboarding new staff, procurement of technology and equipment, mileage and travel reimbursement, and supplies for patients. These funds were received up front, and the Service Period of Award is 6/1/2025-5/31/2028. These are non-County funds.
