BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division received additional Federal Grant funds from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention passed through Cabarrus Health Alliance for Year 2 totaling $70,592 bringing the total grant funds received to $164,020. The previous $93,428 was approved in December 2024. The REACH grant will be used to address nutrition, physical activity, tobacco control and prevention, and adult immunizations in populations that are historically underserved. The additional funds will be used for program related expenses. These are non-County funds.
