BACKGROUND

The Gaston County Public Health Department was awarded funds from Duke University for the Graduate Nursing Education (GNE) Demonstration Project for Preceptor work.  During the later months of fiscal year 2016, the Public Health Department provided clinical preceptors for Duke students who are in the Duke nursing program.  The GNE Demonstration Project provides funds for the time that the student spent with each provider.  These funds will be used for the Women’s Health staff professional medical training opportunities and program supplies and equipment.  These are Non-County funds.
