BACKGROUND

Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement has been approved for a surgical suite. The approved surgical suite will greatly improve the quality of care for shelter animals while creating a significant cost savings to the citizens of Gaston County.  The in-house veterinarian will be much better equipped to conduct minor surgeries, drastically reducing the need for outsourcing, while also making the animals more marketable for adoption and rescue.  Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement ask that the above transfer be accepted and any remaining funds on June 30, 2022 be carried forward to FY2023.
