BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Division, received $32,467.50 from Partners Health Management for the annual contract renewal of the Cordico application which is a mobile mental wellness application that is available to all County employees and serves as an early intervention tool to increase accessibility of mental health resources, direct linkage to both local and national crisis information, decrease stigma associated with mental health by providing confidentiality (especially for our Public Safety officials), and education on a variety of mental health topics. The Cordico application also lists a variety of vetted mental health providers that are local and are in network with our County health plan, incorporates our County EAP information, retirement and 401k information for staff to have access to as well to better increase accessibility and utilization.
