BACKGROUND
The Cathy Mabry Cloninger Center: A Domestic Violence Shelter has been awarded a one-year grant extension from North Carolina’s Governor’s Crime Commission in the amount of $81,952.42 to continue to fund the existing Case Manager's salary and benefits at the Shelter and transitional housing.
The Case Manager provides intake, crisis intervention, and case management for residential clients during in-house support groups and outside community support groups and linkage and referral to community services.
Transitional Housing helps victims of sexual assault and domestic violence by providing a safe and stable environment.
The North Carolina Governor's Crime Commission administers the state's federal grants through Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grants. The grant does not require a match.
