BUDGET ORDINANCE IMPACT

Sponsorship funds in the amount of $1,100 will offset expenses for the Cotton Ginning Days festival.

BACKGROUND

The 31^st Annual Cotton Ginning Days festival was held on October 12-14, 2018 in the Dallas Park.  Featured activities during the festival include a fully operational cotton gin, engine show, musical entertainment, arts and crafts, children’s activities, and a 1890s Historical Village.  This year’s festival attracted an estimated 25,000 visitors for the three day event.  Cotton Ginning Days sponsorship funds will be used to offset event expenses.
