BACKGROUND

A budget transfer of $900 is requested to cover the increased cost of two Motorola radios being purchased under the previously awarded FY24 Edward Byrne JAG Grant (Resolution #2025-018). The Sheriff’s Office was awarded a total of $16,900 from this grant; $12,100 was allocated in a Capital Fund account and $4,800 was allocated in a General Fund account.

 

The updated quote came in higher than the originally allocated $12,100. To accommodate this increase, $900 is being transferred from the General Fund account (which holds the $4,800 allocation) into the Capital account (which holds the $12,100 allocation).

 

Both accounts fall under the same Department of Justice budget category.
