BACKGROUND
In past years, we were able to work with a company that donated a portion of their proceeds from rides to us, however, that was not the case this year, and we had to collect the fees ourselves with the rides we rented, therefore, this was not an expected expense and we would like to put the fees collected, that would normally have been a donation, back into recreation programs.
The Gaston County Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department collected $4,070 at the 2024 Cotton Ginning Days in the Kid’s Area for the amusement rides. These fees will help offset the cost of the Amusement Ride Company.
