BACKGROUND
The Sheriff’s Office was awarded $67,850.00 from the FY24 SCAAP Grant in February 2025. Funding was approved for overtime and disaster preparedness/continuity of operations costs for correctional facilities.
Of this, $28,559.12 was budgeted for the purchase of metal detectors, with the final purchases coming in under budget.
This Board Action requests the transfer of the $2,065.95 remaining balance from the Sheriff’s Capital Furniture/Equipment grant account (4005-SHF-000-00000-000000-0000000-0000-02-540002-G0142) to the Sheriff’s Office General Fund Overtime Salary grant account (1000-SHF-000-00000-000000-0000000-0000-02-510002-G0142).
Remaining funding will support Sheriff’s Office overtime costs, an approved grant expenditure under the same award.
