BACKGROUND
The Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services - Women, Infant, and Community Wellness Section of the Maternal Health Branch Funds received a grant in the amount of $22,973 from the NC Department of Health and Human Services Local Community Support Section for the Maternal Health Program. This grant allows the Public Health Department to assure that local health departments provide access to early and continuous prenatal and postpartum care for individuals who are pregnant and low-income. The funds from this Agreement Addendum can be used in a variety of ways to help the Public Health department provide prenatal care services that include screenings, counseling, and referrals for psychosocial and nutritional problems; behavioral health intervention; and Care Management for High-Risk Pregnancies (CMHRP). 101 Maternal Health Funds Agreement Addendum Revision #1. Service period of award 6/1/2025 - 5/31/2026. These are non-County funds.
